L’Institut de recherche stratégique de l’Ecole Militaire (IRSEM) et l’International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) ont le plaisir de vous inviter au lancement parisien du volume Military Balance 2020. L’évènement se déroulera en anglais et en français.

The Military Balance is the Institute’s annual assessment of the military capabilities and defence economics of 171 countries worldwide. It is an essential resource for those involved in security policymaking, analysis and research.

Published each year since 1959, The Military Balance is the IISS’s annual assessment of global military capabilities and defence economics. It is available in print and digital formats, and is also available as a database – Military Balance+ – which allows users to customise, view, compare and download data instantly, anywhere, anytime.

The Military Balance is an essential resource for those involved in security policymaking, and an indispensable handbook for anyone conducting analysis of military affairs, whether in the armed forces, government, defence industry, academia, consultancy or the media.

A team from the IISS will visit IRSEM on 10 March 2020, to discuss key findings from this year’s edition and global trends in defence policy, capability and defence economics.
